Why do I think that the whole "theory" of the selfish gene is just a way of justifying capitalism?

It's not "selfishness", it's "self-interest". People DO act in their own self-interest, and economic schemes which allow that to happen freely have produced more wealth for more people than anything based on "moral judgment" ever has or ever will.
