Influential characters?

I have to write an essay about inviting three affluent people (historical or fictional) to dinner. I invited Nelson Mandela, Arthur Conan Doyle (author of Sherlock Holmes books), and the fictional Sherlock Holmes. I'm trying to go for something a little humorous, maybe. What do you think about these three people? Anu ideas for a funny situation? What should I say in response to why I invited them? Any help/ideas/suggestions would be great! Thanks.
