GUYS: After a first date...do you need to discuss that's it's not going to work out?

I went wout with a guy last week. I'm from out-of-town and we've ben emailing one another for several months. I will stay for only a couple more days. I really like this guy and he seems to like me too. The date was great, he was very attentive and gentlemanly. Even though feelings are still there, I feel the situation has become quite weird. Is it better for us to discuss this, let everything out, since I'll be leaving soon? We can't go back to just emailing. Is it better to be honest since we've known each other for several months and there are certain expectations that need to be discussed? Or should I just go home and let things be? Meaning forget and move on without closure? What will aguy appreciate more?
